Competition

Competitions will take place in venues carefully selected to provide the best possible conditions for athletes and spectators alike. Each site reflects the host country’s commitment to university sport, offering high-quality facilities in a setting designed for international events.

Competition format

The 2026 FISU World University Championship Cycling features three main disciplines: Road Cycling, Mountain Bike, and ROAD BIKE RACE IN ATHLETICS FIELD, comprising 9 individual competitions. The event will be conducted in strict accordance with the latest competition rules of the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) and the International University Sports Federation (FISU). Delegation composition and eligibility must adhere to the regulations outlined in the official Technical Handbook.

Venues

Forlong Four Seasons Town International Resort

The core venue area of the championship, serving as the start point for the Road Race and Time Trials, as well as the venue for all Mountain Bike events. It features world-class facilities, spectacular natural scenery, and highly challenging courses.

Chongli District Celebration Plaza

Located in the center of Chongli, this plaza is the start/finish venue for the Criterium race. Its open space and surrounding urban landscape make it a highly spectator-friendly location for a thrilling showcase of speed.

Chongli No.1 Middle School Athletics Field

Featuring a standard 400-meter track, this venue will host the Athletics Field Criterium Events. It will be the stage for the One Lap Elimination and Team Sprint, testing athletes’ explosive power and teamwork.

Training Venue

All competition venues will be open to athletes on the official training days before the competition. The detailed training schedule will be announced at the General Technical Meeting.

Technical equipment

This championship will utilize a world-class electronic timing and scoring system from leading international brands. All equipment is certified by the UCI to ensure the accuracy and fairness of the results. High-speed camera systems will be installed at the finish lines. Key technical sections of the mountain bike course will be covered by multiple cameras for broadcasting, providing clear views for officials and spectators.

Trainings

The official training days are scheduled for June 23rd and 24th. The Organizing Committee will arrange dedicated course familiarization sessions for each discipline. Delegations are requested to pay close attention to the final training schedule announced at the GTM and attend accordingly.

Other

The OC will provide secure bike storage areas and basic mechanical support services at all venues. For the specific locations of other technical facilities such as the Doping Control Station and athletes’ lounges, please refer to the venue maps.
